CONFIRMED: Sergi Barjuan named new coach of Barcelona B

Sergi Barjuan has been named new coach of Barcelona B.

The former Barca left-back replaces Javi Garcia Pimienta, who was sacked last week after they failed to clinch promotion to the Segunda Division.

Sergi returns to Barça where he played 386 games as a player and started his stage as a coach with the Juvenil B, from 2009 to 2011.

As a senior coach he has also trained Recreativo de Huelva, RCD Mallorca and Zhenjiang Greentown, in China.

Sergi has signed a deal with Barca to 2023.
