Confirmed Man Utd XI to face FC Copenhagen: Fred, Martial and Fernandes start | OneFootball

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has named his Manchester United starting XI for the Europa League quarter-final against FC Copenhagen in Cologne.

The Reds will meet the winners of Wolves v Sevilla in Sunday’s semi-final if they can defeat the Danish champions this evening.

Unsurprisingly, Solskjaer has made a host of changes from the side made up of fringe players that laboured to a 2-1 victory over LASK at Old Trafford.

Sergio Romero retains his place in goal and is shielded by a back four of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire, Eric Bailly and Brandon Williams.

Fred was one of United’s best players against LASK and deservedly keeps his place in holding midfield, alongside deep-lying playmaker Paul Pogba.

Meanwhile, Solskjaer as opted to start his four big-hitters up front with Bruno Fernandes, Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford all getting the nod this evening.

United have the likes of Jessie Lingard, Tahith Chong and Nemanja Matic who could all make an impact from the substitutes bench.
