Manchester City return to Premier League action with a clash at the Etihad Stadium as Crystal Palace face off with the reigning champions in the early lunchtime kick-off.
Pep Guardiola’s side find themselves in somewhat of a resurgence in form post-international break, but do come into their latest challenge off the back of a drab and dull 0-0 draw away to Manchester United last time out.
The meeting with Crystal Palace is the first of seven closing Premier League matches that will decide the club’s UEFA Champions League fate for next season, as well as preceding an FA Cup semi-final against Nottingham Forest towards the end of the month.
As for this weekend’s opponents, they find themselves in a strong run of form that has also seen themselves reach the last-four of the FA Cup with Aston Villa awaiting at Wembley Stadium, while also climbing the top-flight table under Oliver Glasner up to 11th.
It is the usual absentees for Manchester City this weekend as Erling Haaland remains sidelined with an ankle problem, alongside a defensive contingent made up of Manuel Akanji, Nathan Ake, and John Stones.
