Manchester City come up against Bournemouth in the FA Cup quarter-final at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The reigning Premier League champions are vying to salvage a poor season by their standards by bringing home the club’s eighth FA Cup title.
Sitting in fifth place in the league, Pep Guardiola’s men have all to do in order to secure UEFA Champions League football next term.
City lost 2-1 away at Bournemouth in the Premier League in November and Guardiola will be wary of the dangers Andoni Iraola’s side pose as they look to book a trip to Wembley for the FA Cup semi-final.
The Manchester City manager will have noted the importance of a strong cup run and finishing in the Premier League top four this season to attract the best talent and rebuild his side ahead of the 2025-26 term.
Guardiola is still missing the likes of John Stones, Nathan Ake and Manuel Akanji in central defence, along with Ballon d’Or winner Rodri and academy graduate Oscar Bobb.
