Kylian Mbappé will not be available for Paris Saint-Germain’s Champions League 16 clash with Bayern Munich.

In a statement on Thursday the capital club confirmed that the striker will be out for three weeks after an injury he suffered against Montpellier on Wednesday evening.

As a result, he is now set to miss the first leg of his side’s Champions League match-up with Bayern on February 14.

The nature of the particular injury often requires three weeks of recovery time, although Mbappé has shown in the past he is capable of returning from injuries faster than expected.

However, he is certain to miss Toulouse this weekend and Marseille next week in the Coupe de France, with the games against Monaco and Bayern also out of his reach.
