La Liga giants Barcelona have on Wednesday evening announced some altogether positive news on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that Ronald Araújo has been included in the club’s matchday squad for the first time all season.
Barcelona are of course set to return to action in short order.
Turning attentions back towards matters on the continent, the Blaugrana have made the trip to Germany, for a Champions League showdown with Borussia Dortmund.
A short time ago, the group of players called up by Hansi Flick for the fixture was unveiled online.
And the most notable inclusion, as alluded to above, came in the form of defensive stalwart Ronald Araújo.
Stopper Araújo is yet to take to the pitch this season, owing to a serious hamstring injury suffered whilst on international duty over the summer.
On Wednesday, though, the Uruguayan’s comeback has moved a significant step closer, by way of his first matchday call-up of 2024/25.
Araújo is not expected to feature at Signal Iduna Park, but will be available to boss Flick as an emergency option off the bench if required.
