Two leading members of the attacking ranks at La Liga leaders Barcelona have on Monday been forced to withdraw from international duty for the November break.
The pair in question? Lamine Yamal, and Robert Lewandowski.
Winger Lamine, for his part, sat out on Sunday, as Barcelona slipped to a 2nd defeat of the La Liga season at the hands of Real Sociedad.
The 17-year-old has since been diagnosed with ‘a grade 1 high right ankle sprain’, set for a spell of two to three weeks on the sidelines as a result.
Frontman Lewandowski, meanwhile, featured from the off at Anoeta, but picked up an issue of his own late on.
Barca have since confirmed as much to be ‘a lower back injury’, with an approximate recovery time in the region of 10 days.
In turn, on Monday afternoon, it should come as little surprise to hear that both Blaugrana stars have been officially relieved of their scheduled duties with Spain and Poland respectively.
