Barcelona have missed out on a potential addition to the club’s attacking ranks to La Liga rivals Sevilla.
This comes amid confirmation that Álex Costa has put pen to paper on terms with the latter.
Frontman Costa saw his name emerge as an increasingly prominent one in the media chatter across all of Spain over recent days.
This came after word was forthcoming that the 22-year-old Ponferradina frontman was locked in negotiations over a move to Sevilla.
Just when it appeared as though the Andalusian outfit had their man, however, it was revealed that Barcelona had also entered the bidding for Costa.
The attacker, in turn, was said to have requested some time to come to a final decision on his next landing spot.
And as alluded to above, late this week, Costa’s call has been confirmed.
As per an official release on the part of Sevilla, cited by Diario AS, the goalscorer has put pen to paper on a three-year contract at The Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán.
