The Gunners recently suffered their first Premier League defeat of the year. They were convincingly beaten 2-0 by Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium.

Arteta will be eyeing a strong response at the Allianz Arena after the setback. The first leg ended all square in a 2-2 draw and the players face a huge challenge in Munich.

The manager has made three changes from the weekend loss.

Takehiro Tomiyasu has got the nod in the starting line-up ahead of Oleksandr Zinchenko at left-back. The latter’s poor positioning led to Villa’s opening goal on Sunday.

Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Jesus also drop out of the starting XI. Kai Havertz is set to lead the attack tonight with Jorginho coming back into midfield alongside Declan Rice.

Gabriel Martinelli starts ahead of Trossard, who has been better as an impact player. The Belgian scored a crucial equaliser in the first leg but was unimpressive on Sunday.

Confirmed Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Bayern Munich: Raya; White, Saliba, Magalhaes, Tomiyasu; Jorginho, Rice; Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli; Havertz.
