There’s a concrete chance that Eddie Nketiah leaves Arsenal this summer, with the player fielding interest from the Premier League and Bundesliga in the past.

Fabrizio Romano reports in his Daily Briefing that there’s a concrete possibility that Eddie Nketiah could move on this summer, adding that the striker has always had plenty of interest in the Premier League and the Bundesliga.

West Ham, Crystal Palace, and Borussia Monchengladbach have made their interest known in the past, and their pursuit could be boosted by the fact Arsenal are looking to make a summer signing up front.

Speaking to The Athletic FC Podcast recently, David Ornstein also suggested Nketiah’s future at Arsenal may be uncertain.

“Eddie Nketiah, I think the minutes that he’s receiving speak volumes,” Ornstein said. “Maybe Mikel Arteta and Arsenal don’t see him as one for them going forward.

“I know of clubs that like him too, yet he’ll have a decision to make as well as Arsenal.”

Nketiah has made plenty of appearances this season, playing 37 times in all competitions, but that doesn’t really tell the whole story.

In terms of starts, Nketiah is only up to 13, and none of those starts have come in 2024.

The 24-year-old last made an Arsenal lineup away to Fulham on December 31st, 2023, one of just four times he’s completed the full 90 minutes of a game this season.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Nketiah when Jurrien Timber returns to the first-team squad, which could happen this weekend.

If everyone else stays fit, someone is going to have to drop out, and Nketiah is arguably the most likely.

From Sunday’s bench, Aaron Ramsdale, Jakub Kiwior, Jorginho, and Fabio Vieira are all pretty unlikely to drop out, as they’re the only real options in their positions.
