The Whites are on course to return to the Premier League with the German as their manager, but his future will be uncertain in the top flight.

Leeds United's extraordinary season looks incredibly likely to culminate in a return to the Premier League after missing out in heartbreaking fashion at the end of the 2023/24 campaign.
Adam Armstrong's first-half strike at Wembley back in May was enough to see Southampton beat the Whites 1-0 and return to the top flight at the first time of asking, however it has been a struggle for the Saints and the two sides look likely to swap places in the coming months.
Nevertheless, there is still a job to be completed at Elland Road, and while they have put themselves into a strong position, supporters of the West Yorkshire outfit know better than anyone that it is not over until it's over.
Yet, praise must be heaped on Daniel Farke, who has helped his Leeds team recover from the heartbreak of last season and has won the fanbase back over on a personal level.
It's not been the easiest of rides for the German manager since taking over at Elland Road, and missing out on automatic promotion at the end of the last campaign was extremely disappointing.
But he has been able to right the wrongs this year and his team are on course to return to the Premier League.
However, there will be questions over his long-term future with his own record in the top flight not overly impressive and Football League World has asked their Leeds Fan Pundit, Joe Blackburn, if he believes Farke will still be in the dugout at Elland Road in three years' time.
He told FLW: "This is a bit of a complicated one. So, I do think Daniel Farke himself is in it for the long-term. I think he's found somewhere that he's very comfortable at Leeds United and would love to continue doing his job here.
"But the question is around is that especially viable when you're in the Premier League? Because you look at the Premier League and the most tenured managers haven't been there for very long. The most tenured managers have been there for maybe three to five years and that's because it's a brutal league."
Joe continued: "If results start going against you, Farke won't necessarily keep his job because you don't want to risk getting relegated because of the financial penalty of going down.
"So, I think he himself is mentally in it for the long haul, but I think the practicality says that he's not going to be the manager in three years because the Premier League isn’t easy."
While he is somewhat of a Championship master, Farke has never quite been able to crack the top flight while he was with Norwich City.
He has won just six games in the Premier League, and while it can be said that his Canaries team did not have the quality needed to compete fully in the division, this will raise some alarm bells for those at Leeds.
The Whites have been confident in how they have played all season long in the second tier, but doubt could arise if promotion is won, and if Farke's side get off to a bad start, then they could quickly drop away from the rest of the pack.
Nevertheless, the 48-year-old has earned time to build after this campaign, and he will be hoping to rewrite his own personal history in the Premier League.
