Harry Maguire has become Manchester United‘s first-choice centre-half since arriving at Old Trafford in 2019. And over the past 18 months, his importance has been even more pronounced.
The the naked eye, United’s defence without Maguire just looks more porous and less well structured, despite the England international’s limitations as a player.
But do the stats back that up? We had a look at United’s recrod with and without him since the start of the 2020-21 season to see how they get on when he’s not there.
