After securing promotion to Serie A for the first time in 21 years, Como are working on several high-profile transfer deals, including for ex-Roma and current Marseille shot-stopper Pau Lopez.
According to Sky Sport, the newly promoted side is negotiating to secure the Spaniard on a loan deal with an obligation to buy if they successfully avoid relegation.
The French club are open to the deal, and asking for €8 million to finalise it under this arrangement. However, Como’s offer is still below this figure–though, they’ll continue discussions to hopefully reach an agreement.
Lopez spent two rollercoaster seasons in the Italian capital from 2019 thru 2021—often struggling with inconsistency and blunders. He appeared in 33 games in Ligue 1 for Marseille this past season.
