Como director of sport Carlalberto Ludi cuts short any speculation on the next move for Nico Paz or coach Cesc Fabregas. ‘They will certainly be with us next season.’
The Lariani are currently in action by hosting Empoli in Serie A this afternoon, a game you can follow on the Liveblog.
Ahead of the match, DAZN interviewed sporting director Ludi, also because coach Fabregas is sitting out a touchline ban and forced to watch from the stands.
The director is celebrating a new contract to continue this project in future.
“I thank all the club and the community of Como for the faith placed in me after six exciting years today,” said Ludi.
“We have the ambition to do even better and are working towards that.”

Nobody in Serie A was busier than Como during the January transfer window and the strong investment was building on an already revamped squad following promotion from Serie B last summer.
“We finalised the planning that had already begun in July and it meant taking a few risks, but we were ready.”
All the speculation around the club is about important figures leaving in the summer, as coach Fabregas has been linked with the Milan job, while Nico Paz is in a tug-of-war between Real Madrid and Inter.
However, Ludi was asked if these two would be at the Stadio Sinigaglia next season and was adamant in his response.
“Yes, certainly.’
