AC Milan Primavera qualified for the first stage of the play-offs this afternoon, with a win against Genoa. After the game, goalkeeper Edoardo Colzani spoke to the media.

Among the ranks of Milan, there are several goalkeepers of quality, across a range of different ages. At the top, there is Mike Maignan, who is one of the better options in Europe. However, things continue down in the youth ranks.

Lapo Nava, Noah Raveyre and Lorenzo Torriani headline the young ranks, with both expected to play parts in the club’s future. However, Colzani will also hope to write his name next to theirs at some points and putting in consistent performances in the Primavera is a good start.

For example, if he were to further aid his team’s quest for success in the next few games, it would be a fantastic start. For now though, he is enjoying the moment, as he stated to Milan News after today’s win.

“It’s a moment of great joy, the playoffs are a great achievement as a group. Now we aim to get to the bottom. There is a great joy and emotion.”

On the very young group…

“We all give everything on the field, we are always together.”

On his emotions…

“When the Mozna race ended, it was a great emotion, it’s incredible.”

On the team’s strength…

“We had ups and downs, but the union between us has never failed. We’ve always been one team.”

About his idols…

“I had the chance to work with Maignan, I learned a lot. He is my idol. His strong point? His leadership.”
