Chelsea will clash heads with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium this Saturday evening as they look to grind out a result on their travels in the Premier League. The Blues secured a 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace recently which should give them some confidence ahead of this game.

Mauricio Pochettino will set his side up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first team for this clash. Levi Colwill and Christopher Nkunku will both get a chance to play from the start of this game.

Defence

Dorde Petrovic will feature in goal for the Blues after conceding one goal in his last league outing. Axel Disasi will operate alongside Levi Colwill at the centre of the Chelsea backline as they look to keep the opposition attackers frustrated throughout the game.

Malo Gusto, who is a slight concern for this game, will function as the right-back while Ben Chilwell fills in on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will have to perform their defensive duties well if they are to limit the chances that Man City create from the wide areas.

Trevoh Chalobah will offer cover for the defensive spots on the bench.

Midfield

Enzo Fernandez will anchor the midfield alongside Moises Caicedo as they look to dominate the game at the centre of the park. The talented trio of Christopher Nkunku, Conor Gallagher and Cole Palmer will play just ahead of them as part of Everton’s attack. Both Gallagher and Palmer would have to find a way to threaten the Man City goal on the counter.

Mykhailo Mudryk will be named on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the second half if required.

Attack

Nicolas Jackson will lead the line for the West London outfit up top. Pochettino would rely on him to cause some problems for the opposition centre-backs during this clash at the Etihad.

Raheem Sterling will have to be content with a spot on the bench and might come on to influence the game against his old club in the final quarter if the Blues are in need of a goal by then.
