Los Cafeteros head to the upcoming Copa América in Brazil 20 years removed from their only triumph in the 105-year history of South America’s premier tournament.

On Thursday, manager Reinaldo Rueda announced his 28-man squad for Copa América 2021, which will kick off on Sunday when Brazil face Venezuela, followed by Colombia’s opening-round clash with Ecuador.

Of course, Colombia will start their journey in Group A with Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela.

Rueda has started well after replacing Carlos Queiroz, leading Colombia to a World Cup qualifying 3-0 win over Peru and a 2-2 draw against Argentina after starting two goals down.

Naturally, there has been quite a bit of controversy as James RodrĂguez and Radamel Falcao were snubbed from the squad.
