The hosts took the lead through John Lundstram’s deflected effort from range, giving Ross Laidlaw little chance to keep the ball out.

Čolak doubled the lead before halftime before grabbing his brace just before the hour mark. If the first goal may have been fortuitous considering his slip at the moment of shooting, the second was emphatic as he finished off a swift team move.

Steven Davis rounded off the goal-scoring ten minutes from time to confirm the three-points and move Rangers into first place ahead of Celtic’s match on Sunday.
