Liverpool returned to winning ways as they beat Tottenham Hotspur 4-0 in their previous Premier League game last week. The latest win will keep their spirits high before they take on Aston Villa in an away fixture on Monday night.
The Reds are third in the domestic points table with 78 points after 36 rounds of play. They have two games to go this season and must aim at ending the season on a high note. It will surely be some sort of farewell for their legendary coach, Jurgen Klopp.
Defence
Alisson Becker will operate between the sticks once again with the aim of keeping another clean sheet in the league. Trent Alexander-Arnold remains an automatic pick for the right full-back role.
Boss Jurgen Klopp praised Jarell Quansah for showing high intensity in the training. The latter should be partnering up with Virgil van Dijk at the heart of the defence. Left-back Andy Robertson was brilliant against Spurs and will aim to drop a similar performance.

Midfield
Expect Wataru Endo to play the number six role once again, which allows the other two midfielders to join the attack. Harvey Elliott is likely to get the nod ahead of Dominik Szoboszlai and Curtis Jones after his excellent display last week.
Alexis Mac Allister, on the other hand, had a below-par game as per his standards, but that shouldn’t be keeping him away from starting the game.
No change is expected to happen in the offensive line. Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz are to be deployed on the flanks with Cody Gakpo waiting near the penalty box.
Joel Matip, Thiago Alcantara and Ben Doak are the confirmed absentees for the Reds for this clash. Diogo Jota’s availability is subject to fitness.
