Middlesbrough have picked up one point from two games under Chris Wilder thus far, with a narrow defeat to Preston North End following a 1-1 draw with Millwall.

Boro will now be trying to secure their first victory of the Wilder era away from home, with play-off chasing Huddersfield Town standing in their way.

The Terriers are currently in eighth place and are just three points from Stoke City who occupy the final play-off spot at present.

Boro find themselves on 23 points and in 15th after 19 games thus far, meaning that they are the same amount of points away from the top six as they are from the relegation places.

Middlesbrough are without a Championship victory in their last five matches now, collecting a mere two points in the process.

Here, we take a look at how Middlesbrough could line up against Huddersfield when they make the trip down to Yorkshire tomorrow afternoon…

Luke Daniels is likely to remain in goal for Boro, after coming into the starting XI for the last four matches.

Defensive errors allowed Preston back into the game during the week, but that is unlikely to force any changes, with Paddy McNair, Lee Peltier and Sol Bamba all pushing for another start.

Isaiah Jones has impressed in his right-wing-back role and should get another opportunity to impress his new manager, with Marc Bola likely to edge out Onel Hernandez to a left-wing-back position.

Matt Crooks has proven to be a strong addition to Boro this season, with the former Rotherham United midfielder emerging as one of the first names on the team sheet.

He is likely to be partnered by the ever-dependable Jonny Howson, with James Lea Siliki to be deployed from the bench.

Marcus Tavernier’s lively performances and obvious ability has seen him attract interest ahead of the January transfer window, and he should be on course for another start tomorrow.

Duncan Watmore was not fully fit going into the midweek clash, meaning that he could drop down to the bench.
