Yesterday in the Premier League it was a fine day to celebrate the success and progression of the Chelsea youth academy.

The Blues have spent a lot of time, money, and dedication on trying to make their youth setup one of the best in the world, and on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League yesterday it absolutely roared like a lion.

First of all at Stamford Bridge, Mason Mount got a hat trick for Chelsea and a Man of the Match performance to see them humiliate Norwich City 7-0.

But it didn’t end their for the academy graduates. Reece James got a lovely finish in the game after a Mount assist, Callum Hudson-Odoi scored one and forced an own-goal, and then Ruben Loftus-Cheek came on as a sub to play well and assist another goal.

It still didn’t end their though, it was a Cobham come back for Southampton against Burnley as Armando Broja scored the equaliser to make it 2-2 for The Saints. And although he’s technically not attached to Chelsea anymore even though they do have a buyback option, the first goal was scored by another academy graduate, Tino Livramento.

What a day for the Chelsea youth setup.
