AC Milan signed Youssouf Fofana during the summer transfer window, but a report has claimed that the management do not consider the midfield to be complete and there are two targets on their list.
Calciomercato.com write how Geoffrey Moncada has already been called into action straight after the summer window closed to resolve the problem that has arisen in midfield after Ismael Bennacer’s serious injury.
The reopening of the winter mercato is far away, but the Rossoneri management cannot be caught unprepared and will soon begin the work that will hopefully bring one or two new players to the midfield arsenal.
The first name on the list is Johnny Cardoso, who had hoped for a call from Milan last summer when he learned of their interest. The arrival of Fofana cooled things down, but they will soon become hot again because Milan has every intention of starting contacts for the American midfielder.
The USA international can play both in a double pivot and as a mezzala in a three-man midfield thanks to his physique and technique. He also already knows Christian Pulisic and Yunus Musah well for obvious reasons, and shares the same agent as Emerson Royal.
Carney Chukwuemeka is the other idea, an ‘old obsession’ for the scouting area that could come back into fashion, with more attacking qualities than Cardoso. He barely plays for Chelsea and wants a change of scenery, and after deadline day contacts the Rossoneri could go back in.
