Ismael Bennacer could be like a new signing when he returns for AC Milan. According to a recent report, it seems he could be on the field again shortly.
The past few years of Bennacer’s career have been very difficult, both for the player and the club. An injury against Inter kept him off the pitch for seven months, and shortly after his return, he was back in the injury room.
This process has been recurring for far too long, and this is why Milan are keen to avoid rushing a return. As Calciomercato.com writes, the Rossoneri’s medical staff have imposed ‘maximum caution’ on the situation to avoid any further repeats of the horror show.
Under Fonseca, he has only had just under an hour of game time in Serie A, and for this reason, his return could be like a new signing for the club. A signing that should be ready for the second half of the season, as claimed by the report.
Given the lack of appropriate depth available to Fonseca, he will welcome the chance to see Bennacer return to his squad, more so because it could alter the way his budget is spent throughout the winter mercato.
