CM: Milan trigger Chaka Traore option but are working on long-term renewal | OneFootball

AC Milan are at work to secure one of their stars for years to come as negotiations with Chaka Traore and his entourage are on, a report claims.

Reaching the UEFA Youth League final four was a sign that the Primavera are heading in the right direction after years of struggle and it is thanks to talents like Traore that Ignazio Abate’s side were able to go so far.

His contract was set to expire in June of this year, but Calciomercato.com report that he will remain with the Rossoneri for at least another season as the option that the club had to extend his deal until 2024 has been exercised.

However, the work is far from done. Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara intend to extend the expiry of the winger’s deal by a few more years, and we are moving towards an agreement that can make everyone happy. The idea is to strike a deal before the start of next season.
