AC Milan have not given up on the idea of signing Gedson Fernandes from Benfica, according to the latest reports.
The Rossoneri were linked with a move for Fernandes in the summer transfer window, with Gianluca Di Marzio – as cited by Football Italia – stating that Milan had requested information.
Di Marzio claimed that Milan had been told the asking price is €30million plus bonuses for the 20-year-old, a figure which A Bola and Record in Portugal (via Football Italia) stated was too high for Paolo Maldini and co.
Links with Fernandes haven’t stopped though, and according to Calciomercato.com Milan are still interested in a move for the Portuguese starlet.
Fernandes scored three goals and added six assists in 46 appearances for Benfica in all competitions last season.
A recent report from the same outlet stated that Rossoneri scouts are continuing to monitor Fernandes, who is ‘very interested’ in the idea of joining Milan.
