The AC Milan management are always on the lookout for talent, and their scouts have picked out two profiles in Argentina that are attracting their interest.
Calciomercato.com reports that Milan – through their network of scouts – are carefully observing the Argentine league in search of talents that could come over the Atlantic Ocean. Above all they are seeking young players who have personality and potential.
Vélez Sarsfield are first in the Liga Professional, and it is partly thanks the exploits of Thiago Fernandez. The 20-year-old has six goals and nine assists this season, playing on the left and cutting in onto his preferred right foot.
He has speed, good shooting and vision, all the qualities that Milan are after. Moreover, he can play as an attacking midfielder and on the right side if necessary, which is ideal for a team like the Rossoneri who use a 4-2-3-1.
There is another name three years younger than Fernández but paradoxically already better known in the world of football that Milan like: Franco Mastantuono, La Joya of River Plate.
He is regarded as ‘an extraordinary talent’ who combines technique, character and physique. Milan have made inquiries but they are set to face very strong competition led by Real Madrid.
