AC Milan got a first hand look at Moise Kean during Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Fiorentina, and he is a transfer target ahead of the summer.

As Calciomercato.com write, there might be a bitter feeling for Kean and Fiorentina after they threw away a two-goal lead and dropped points in their pursuit of the top four. On a personal level though, the striker reached 22 goals in 36 appearances across all competitions.

Kean scored the exact same number of goals in his four years at Juventus combined, during which he took to the field on 123 occasions. The number of goals scored this year exceeds the appearances last year, when he finished with zero goals.

It is not bad for someone who became the first Fiorentina player to score more than 21 goals in a season since Alberto Gilardino in 2008-09, in addition to being the third player born in the 2000s (after Vlahovic and Kvaratskhelia) to be involved in at least 20 goals in a year in the Italian top flight.

Fiorentina will find themselves facing an important crossroads in the summer: build the squad around the Italian striker or cash in for a huge amount? There will certainly be no shortage of suitors, also considering that his release clause (active from 1 to 15 July 2025) stands at €52m.

President Commisso has been clear: there is the will to keep him at La Viola, but every offer will be evaluated. Furthermore, they will try to renew his contract which is worth €2.2m net per year, yet Kean’s fate depends exclusively on his will.

Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle are taking a look at him, as well as Napoli and Barcelona, who could be looking for Victor Osimhen/Romelu Lukaku and Robert Lewandowski’s heirs respectively.

The report mentions Milan too, who in the summer will dedicate themselves to the search for Italian profiles in all areas of the pitch. A player like Kean is part of the list of names circled in red as extremely interesting, to compliment Santiago Gimenez.
