Marseille midfielder Boubacar Kamara has admitted that ‘anything can happen’ in the transfer window, with AC Milan and a Serie A rival keen on signing him.

After their game against Lille, Kamara spoke to the media and confirmed the possibility of leaving in June but also seemingly did not exclude a departure in the current window, with his comments transcribed by Calciomercato.com.

“My contract expires in June and if I stay I will do everything to ensure that the team reaches the his goal, the Champions League. Apart from that, with the market open anything can happen,” he said.

“Transfer rumours send me left and right every day. Apart from that, I am lucky to have my family and my team-mates by my side . It is up to me to stay focused on the pitch, not to think about the voices in order to be able to do my best for the team to help them achieve their targets.”

The report goes on to mention that Roma manager Josè Mourinho is a big fan of Kamara because of his ability, his experience but also his potential to grow into an even better player. Meanwhile, Milan have also been following him for a long time given their emphasis on signing young talent on cost advantageous deal.

Given that Franck Kessie may well be departing on a free transfer once his contract runs out in June, the temptation to sign a natural replacement – and one who can also play centre-back – without paying a transfer fee will be very tempting.
