CM: Leao lays down marker with Portugal ahead of Serie A clash with Inter | OneFootball

AC Milan forward Rafael Leao may have sparked some fear in Inter with his latest performance for the Portuguese national team, a report suggests.

As has been reported by Calciomercato.com, it was a very successful end to the international break for Leao and he will come into the Derby della Madonnina on Sunday feeling very confident.

The opponent may only have been Luxembourg, but Portugal won 9-0. Despite the wealth of attacking talent that Roberto Martinez has to choose from, Leao has finally become a regular starter for Portugal, showing he is one of the world’s leading attacking players.

He grabbed an assist in this game and was effective throughout the contest.

Early in the previous Serie A season, Leao scored a decisive brace as Milan beat Inter 3-2. He is going to be desperate to repeat that feat when the two sides meet on Saturday at 18:00 CEST with the Nerazzurri as the home team.
