Daniel Maldini is getting closer to saying goodbye to AC Milan again, but this time it could reportedly end up being a permanent exit.

According to what is being reported by Calciomercato.com, Monza are pushing to bring Maldini back to the club but this time on a permanent basis after a successful loan spell in the second half of last season.

His agent Beppe Riso met with Adriano Galliani in the last few hours to speak about the offer to present to Milan. Monza are ready to grant a high resale clause to Milan, as long as that is balanced out by a smaller transfer fee this summer.

The fact that Daniel Maldini’s deal at Milan expires in a year means that there is a need for it to be a permanent move, because any loan deal would require the extension of his contract and at the moment that does not seem likely.

Monza are ahead of the competition at the moment, and after his grandfather Cesare’s debut in 1953 there could well be the end of the Maldini dynasty at Milan.

The Biancorossi have intensified contacts for the 22-year-old, so much so that there is already a draft agreement on a contract until 2028 as well.
