At the moment there are no advanced negotiations over the sale of Tijjani Reijnders, but there is enough noise to think about possible scenarios.
According to Calciomercato.com, in the last few days Manchester City have informed Milan of their strong interest in Reijnders. A concrete interest that will become a real mission to sign him at the end of the season.
Pep Guardiola wants the Dutchman and in time for the Club World Cup that will start on June 13. The idea of the Citizens would be to put on the table a proposal of over €70m to try to convince the Rossoneri, who showed nobody is unsellable when Sandro Tonali left.
From the possible sale of Reijnders, Milan could obtain that essential nest egg for the incoming market next summer. The potential €75m from Manchester City would mean the funds are there to go and get Samuele Ricci from Torino, for around €30m.
The contacts made with the entourage of the Italian during the most recent winter window have produced a mutual appreciation, with the promise to speak again in view of the summer. He is viewed as an ideal creative midfielder, something Reijnders’ exit would see the squad lose some of.

If Ricci is a concrete idea for the midfield, Lorenzo Lucca is for the attack. Also in this case, they are looking at a player who has had a positive season with the Udinese shirt – 11 goals in 32 league games – who they also followed in January, before making the move for Santiago Gimenez.
With the very probable return of Tammy Abraham to Roma and the evaluations still underway on the future of Luka Jovic (his contract expires in June) another striker is needed Udinese value him at €30m too, with Jonathan Burkardt of Mainz and Nikola Krstović of Lecce alternatives.
