The tournament will be played between December 12-22 in Saudi Arabia.

It will be the last time the competition features seven teams, as it will be expanded to 32 teams in the 2025 edition.

Man City will begin their campaign in the semi-finals, where they await the winners of the second-round game between Urawa Red Diamonds (Japan) and Club Leon (Mexico).

Saudi Pro League champions Al-Ittihad will start the tournament against New Zealand club Auckland City FC in the first round.

The winners of the contest will face Egyptian giants Al-Ahly FC in the next round.

The team coming out on top will book their place in the other semi-final, where they will await the winners of Copa Libertadores.

The South American tournament has entered the semi-final phase, and the teams remaining are Fluminense, Internacional, Palmeiras and Boca Juniors.

European teams have a great track record in the Club World Cup, and Man City will look to live up to the reputation.

They could become the fourth-ever English side to lift the title after Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea.

Man City manager Pep Guardiola, who previously won the trophy with Barcelona, will be looking to win the Club World Cup to achieve a quadruple of titles this year.
