Fiorentina will look for £50m+ before letting Dusan Vlahovic leave the club in the summer transfer window in what is a potential blow to Liverpool’s chances of landing him.
The young striker has emerged as a real bright prospect in European football this season for La Viola and that has prompted significant interest in him ahead of the summer transfer window.
However, anyone hoping to sign him had better have deep pockets as the Italian club is looking for a decent-sized fee.
Sempre Milan cites Gazzetta Dello Sport in reporting that Fiorentina are looking for €60m before letting him go in the transfer window which, as things stand, is a little over £52m.
They also report the likes of Liverpool are keen on him and this could be a potential setback in any pursuit they’re looking to make.
ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
It’s quite hard to see the Reds sanctioning this sort of expenditure on a player who, whilst talented, is still very young and still has plenty to prove – particularly as we’re coming out of a pandemic and finances are tighter than normal.
He’s a good player, but probably one to just monitor for now.
