Real Madrid have announced the signing of young Danish defender Sofie Svava in a deal which makes her the team’s record signing.
The 21-year-old has joined from Wolfsburg for a fee which MARCA report to be in the region of €200,000, a record fee for Real’s Femenino side.
Svava initially joined the German side in December 2020 from Rosengård in a reported €55,000 deal but made just 24 appearances in Germany.
She is a highly-regarded prospect whose favoured position is at left-back but is also capable of playing further forward on the left.
Real have struggled to replace previous left-back Sofia Jakobsson since she departed for Bayern Munich last summer.
