LOS ANGELES, California – Fidel Ambriz of Liga MX side Club Leon was selected on Sunday as the recipient of the Young Player Award as the 2023 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League’s best young player.

The 20-year-old Mexican midfielder appeared in seven matches in the 2023 SCCL, scoring a goal. His strike against Tigres in the second leg of the semifinals made Ambriz the youngest goalscorer in the current tournament at 20 years and one month.
