Relevo are reporting that Roman Yaremchuk will return to Club Brugge this summer. The clubs record signing has been on loan in La Liga with Valencia, but due to their financial situation they do not have the capabilities to sign him on a permanent basis. As a result, he will now have to return to Club Brugge. The 28-year-old Ukrainian striker cost the club around €17m in 2022 from Benfica, but has gone on to score just six goals in 32 games.

Club had been hoping that they would get the Gent version of Yaremchuk. During his time with the Buffaloes the striker scored an impressive 61 goals in 152 games. Benfica paid good money to bring him to Portugal, where he scored nine goals and provided seven assists in 47 matches. However, since then he has looked a shadow of his former self and bereft of any self confidence. After being loaned to Valencia in the summer, he has only managed to score four goals in 26 games.

His future back in Belgium is uncertain and could depend on who the next head coach of Club Brugge is. If they are going to try and sell the forward, the side may well have to accept making a loss on the money they invested.
