Club Brugge have confirmed that young defender Denzel De Roeve has left the club after over nine seasons. De Roeve will join up with Norwegian side SK Brann, who finished second in the Eliteserien last season. He will be under the management of former Kortrijk head coach Freyr Alexandersson. The side almost won the league last year, mounting a late surge that saw them almost pip Bodø/Glimt. However, they ended up three points behind the side from the north of Norway.
De Roeve leaves having never made a senior appearance for Club Brugge. The 20-year-old has spent the majority of his time in the Challenger Pro League with Club Nxt. De Roeve played 65 matches in the Challenger Pro League, in which he scored twice and provided six assists. He has signed a deal with his new side that will last for three and a half seasons. The fee for the transfer was not disclosed by the Belgian side.
