In a remarkable move in modern football, Club Brugge have announced that tickets for their next round of the Champions League will be reduced compared to the match against Atalanta. While most sides would increase their prices as they progress through the competition, Club have instead decided to do the opposite. The side have said that, given these are extra games and the side having progressed to the domestic cup final, they want to reduce the price for their supporters. Given the historic run they are on in Europe, the game was always likely to sell out and is a great gesture by the club.
Club booked their passage through to the next round of the competition after a fantastic performance in Bergamo. The side overcame a tough Atalanta side and were excellent over both legs. Next up will be a trip to either France or England. If the former, they will face Lille, while for the latter they will have to face Aston Villa. They have already faced the side from the midlands once this season, beating them 1-0 at home.
