Sacha Tavolieri is reporting that Club Brugge remain interested in Leeds United defender Pascal Struijk. The Belgian born dutch defender has made 15 appearances for the side this season, scoring one goal. He has made 115 appearances for Leeds since 2018, scoring seven goals. Club Brugge were interested in the 24-year-old over the summer, but believed that they had adequate defensive reinforcements.
However, Ronny Deila’s side have had an indifferent start to the season by their lofty standards, and the lack of quality in the defensive areas has forced the clubs hierarchy to look to bring in another defender in January. Tavolieri reports that Struijk himself is interested in a move to the Belgian Pro League, with the transfer expected to be in the region of €15m, €3m less than what Leeds were asking for in the summer.
Club Brugge are currently seventh in the Pro League, with five wins, five draws and four defeats from their opening 14 games. The side are also said to be in the market for a striker during the winter window.
