Club Brugge are pulling back from buying a Premier League-owned striker next month.
Liverpool striker Divock Origi and Aston Villa's Ally Samatta, currently on-loan with Fenerbahce, have both been linked with Club Brugge.
However, neither player fits the profile chairman Bart Verhaeghe and chief exec Vincent Mannaert are seeking, with Club Brugge now focusing on Eintracht Frankfurt striker Bas Dost, says Het Laatste Nieuws.
Eintracht Frankfurt want €6m to sell the Dutchman, though Club Brugge hope to yet to talk down that valuation.
Dost has already agreed personal terms with Brugge.
