América’s Liga MX Clausura season is in the balance as they head to Pachuca for the second leg of their semi-final with the aggregate score delicately balanced at 1-1.
Las Aguílas dominated the first leg but spurned multiple chances to put the game beyond doubt before Nicolas Ibañez’s 82nd-minute penalty drew the game level.

“The whole group is eager, confident and motivated,” Roger Martínez said ahead of the game. “We will go to Pachuca to win the game.
“I am angry because we could win, because I want to win yes or yes. I don’t want to lose and on Sunday we have a unique opportunity.
“I don’t care what Pachuca has done at home, tomorrow we are going to win whatever it takes.”
The winner of Sunday’s clash between América and Pachuca will face Atlas in the final.
