Club América, in the next month, will complete the purchase of Álvaro Fidalgo from LaLiga2 side CD Castellón.
According to Spanish radio outlet Radio Castellón, América will pay Castellón €1m, while paying €1m to Real Madrid for the permanent transfer of the player.
Fidalgo, who is expected to sign a four-year deal with the Mexican giants, was personally recommended by Santiago Solari, who got to know the player while they both shared time at Real Madrid.
Fidalgo, who is still just 24 years old, stood out this season for his touch, his passing, and his ability to blend in with his team-mates much easier than originally planned.
His case is similar to Federico Viñas, who also arrived as an unknown and became a cult hero with the club.
