Club América’s young season kept getting worse over the weekend as they not only suffered a 3-2 loss against San Luis, they also lost a pair of important players.
Pedro Aquino, Emilio Lara, and Jorge Sánchez are all already out with long-term injuries, with Aquino requiring four weeks more while the other two need at least six-to-eight more weeks to recover.
Over the weekend, Sebastián Cáceres had to be substituted due to a bad fall that caused a grade three dislocation. He will be out indefinitely.
Miguel Layún was also sent off late in the match, which is unfortunate as three of América’s absences are all on the right side.
Santiago Solari will either be forced to move Bruno Valdéz out on the right, change formations, or start somebody from the Basic Forces.
