Paraguayan striker Sergio Díaz, who is currently under contract at Real Madrid, has been announced as Club América’s newest reinforcement.

The 22-year-old joins Club América on a loan deal, with an option to buy at the conclusion of his deal, rumoured to be a six-month spell.

Díaz made his professional debut back in 2014 at age 15 and was brought in by Real Madrid two years later in a €5m deal following impressive performances at the 2015 South American Youth Football Championship with the Paraguay U-20s and the 2016 Toulon Tournament with the U-23s.

Díaz was last seen on loan with his childhood club Cerro Porteño. He is under contract at Real Madrid until next summer and has yet to make a first-team appearance.
