There is still time for clubs to complete new signings ahead of the September 5 transfer deadline in Mexico and Club América’s pursuit of a new winger continues.
According to MLS Insider Tom Bogert, the Mexican club is inching closer to completing a deal for LAFC ace Brian Rodriguez.
The 22-year-old has been linked with a move to the United States throughout the summer from sources covering MLS and Liga MX.
However, LAFC are now only willing to let the starlet go “for a substantial deal” but Club América appears more than willing to reach that mark.
Meanwhile, despite the progress, additional reports in Mexico claim no agreement has been reached as of yet.
Rodriguez has captured plenty of attention throughout his 106 career appearances where he has registered 12 goals and 24 assists while playing for LAFC, CA Peñarol and UD Almería.
Could América be next?
