Philadelphia Union and Mexico international midfielder Marco Fabián, who is desperately wanted by Ricardo Peláez and Chivas, nearly returned to Mexican football early while he was playing at Eintracht Frankfurt.

TV Azteca reporter César Caballero revealed that when Peláez was in charge of America, he tried to repatriate Marco Fabián.

Marco Fabián left Frankfurt at the beginning of 2019 and arrived at Philadelphia Union of Major League Soccer, a club that could let him return to Mexico if Chivas manage to convince him with a juicy offer.

Fabián has also been strongly linked with a move to both Tigres and Rayados should the move to his former club fall through.

Fabián and the Philadelphia Union were eliminated in the MLS Cup Eastern Conference semi-finals by defending champions Atlanta United last week.
