An incredible second-half performance allowed the Eagles to come-from-behind and defeat Pachuca 5-2.
NicolĂĄs Benedetti scored his first AmĂ©rica goal since his arrival from Colombia, while Henry MartĂn and Roger MartĂnez each scored second-half braces.
With the victory, AmĂ©rica will potentially face rivals Chivas in a SĂșper ClĂĄsico quarter-final, should the Goats beat second-division side AtlĂ©tico San Luis on Wednesday night.
In the 21st minute, Benedetti scored his first goal in an América shirt with a nicely-timed header.
However, just five minutes later, Pachuca would find themselves in front after a pair of quick-fire goals through Roberto de la Rosa and former Leicester City striker Leonardo Ulloa.
In the second half, it was all AmĂ©rica as they would fire four past Pachuca through Henry MartĂn and Roger MartĂnez.
Just after the whistle, MartĂn would equalise after a miraculous first touch set him free.
AmĂ©rica would take the lead less than 10 minutes later as MartĂn made it six goals in 12 games in all competitions this season.
GOL AMERICA! DOBLETE for Henry Martin! America ahead 3-2 over Pachuca after another fantastic goal! âÂ
Six minutes later, Roger MartĂnez scored the goal of the night with a fantastic strike into the top corner.
MartĂnez closed out the match with his second goal of the game in the 90th minute.
