At 73 years old, Ranieri has officially become the dean of coaches in Europe.

As reported by Il Messaggero, he was the oldest coach in Serie A when he led Cagliari to safety last year, and he is even older today as he has put his tracksuit and cap back on to lend a hand to his Roma. An elderly coach today, a mature executive tomorrow.

Sir Claudio is the oldest in Europe. Second to him is Manuel Pellegrini, two years younger, at Betis in Seville.
