Manchester City thrashed Liverpool U23s 7-2 on Saturday.

Up against the PL2 leaders on their own stamping ground, City blew the Reds away.

Cole Palmer and Liam Delap both hit a brace of goals with Adrian Bernabe, Ben Knight and Tommy Doyle also on target.

It was a superb all-round performance from Enzo Maresca's young charges who continue to go from strength to strength.

Interestingly, Claudio Gomes started in midfield for City after a year away in PSV's reserve-team on-loan.
