Goals from Jaidon Anthony and Phillip Billing gave the hosts a 2-0 lead with 25 minutes left to play.

However, Jefferson Lerma’s red card in the 68th minute proved to be a turning point in the match, spurring Coventry on to get something out of the game.

Matty Godden halved the deficit in the 85th minute for the travelling Sky Blues, before Todd Kane found the top corner from a crossing position in the fifth minute of added time.

The Cherries found themselves cruising when they were two goals up, with Steve Cook impressing after returning to the starting line up.

It was Cook’s first Championship appearance of the season against The Sky Blues, with the veteran defender showing his defensive capabilities, intelligence and composure throughout the match, despite Coventry going on to claim a draw.

Cook was an integral player for the Cherries last time out, and was equally as important during their years in the Premier League.
